2019 January

2019 - the year that will mark to seal another decade for 2020. A new beginning to start another chapter, rather, much more, to embark to another book. The journey that leads our lives to fulfillment and self gratification which exerts meaning of ones' existence. 

Great concept awaits for the year of the pig, as prosperity and success encompass the forecast for this 12th cycle period of the lunar calendar concept. Vision is the key to see the universal mystery of life, thus, the milestone to futuristic lifestyle will be unveiled through each and everyone's optimism. 

Our energy elevates our souls and with full emotion, we can overcome any hurdles that we can encounter in this lifetime. Also, resilience and faith are best virtues to adhere, which could eventually and substantially route us to redemption.

May the dawn of the new technology remain in fusion with the grounded roots of humanity.

2018 December

As the new year fast approaches, people are preoccupied with anxiety of the year-end expenses. Business growth have transformed diversity to scaling income and potentials. Governments strengthen ties and added stability for their nations. Leaving us to question should decisions be lead by the millennial or should they remain in guidance as intellectual quotient needs empathy in ground ruling? Intriguing as it seems, preservation and morals are the youth's nemesis in conquering the old generations in their pursuit of world domination. Humor aside, its the moment of passing on the torch of power as we look forward to the next election and further amendments. 

Challenge power embarks people with increase of Adrenalin, yet the superficial cost and purpose are not aligned with the greater good of mankind. Camaraderie without chivalry is a lost virtue, for without a good cause the significance of trait is uncertain and undue to morality. However, animosity in the cynical world could only be overcome by Hope, so I encourage everyone to have Faith and to keep believing in Hope.

May the season of giving and forgiving enlightens everyone to achieve world peace. God bless!

2018 November

A month before the year end, people rush everywhere to prepare for so much activities and festivities in queue. Primarily, the annual thanksgiving in the US which is the highlight of the month, and secondly, the ASEAN summit at Papua New Guinea. 

Advancement of the future has been significant and have remarkably turned things around,  as well as showcasing relevance of this generation's worth and capabilities. However, greatness comes with responsibilities to take and rule over, therefore we need to follow through each milestone for reference of futures' stake.

And to complete my triple A paragraphs context, my final note focus is on overseeing morale values and life's lesson on the verge of the AI techno vision and its forecast of the trending situation onward and beyond structure. Hope things work out with our green preservation for humanity's future.

2018 October

Fall season commenced amidst the global warming, hence storm and endless rain unveils strange weather and its unpredictability. Political tension arising globally, with continental issues forwarded to the United Nations for universal dialogue and further diplomatic measures. Contradictory to every child's dream of serenity and comfort, life is indeed a struggle.

Pessimism aside, the beauty of living with hurdles, one's strength and courage can launch each individual to face their daily lives, enhancing abilities in pursuit of passing through and overcoming the imperfection of life. After all, life would perhaps be not a journey maze if every corners have sound water. The challenge of living in this world is to reach our ultimate whole-being and fulfill our existence purpose. Hope everyone figures out not just the wants, rather to find the need that suffice their totality.

And with the Chinese Mid-autumn festival and the Halloween at the end of the month, October is one of the leading months which are most celebrated globally. So raise our glasses as we toast to "Oak-to-beer" aka "October"!

2018 September

September, the BER months started all over again. Soon we will hear about the possibilities of rocket travel to the different places and the space touring including the train hub tubes and other energy sourcing. Quite an adventure on these decade for humanity to raise eyebrows and sit back to contemplate reality of the sunset generation. Evolution surpassed innovation and technology, AI is set to synchronize everything with a purpose to monopolize earth and it's complexity.

 

 

My two cents on the occurrence, should it not be more humane to collect opinions from the less fortunate and gather data from the illiterate to absorb their emotions and have their feelings be assesses and properly addressed. After all, was it not supposed to create comfort and pacify the animosity within mankind. Cliché of the absurd and cynical mind to outcast the importance of values and traditions and cultures. Perhaps, aging kicks in me so my apologies to those who may oppose my thoughts. Whichever life leads this generation, may they be guided by the One Above Us All.

2018 August

The dawn of the Artificial Intelligence came across our path and, we, the bystander are witnessing the sunset of the conventional system of human labor. Everything will be done for humanity and what would be left for us to do are just to observe, absorb and be pacified by the ongoing terms of the millennial.

 

 

Probably I remained old school and have uncertainty on the process that arise upon these work implementations. Worrying on factual scenario that technology could have some glitches or some sort of AI override, then what would be the solution to such malfunction and what could be the effect if everything would be run by such complications.. I guess when they opened Pandora's box, they have calculated the pro's and con's of everything, which I suppose doesn't really need the personal opinion of humanity, as if the majority (who are in poverty) have no more right to have liberty and the voice to put a word of their own preference. Life really had been more confusing, but perhaps, it's my old age that confuses my thoughts.

 

 

Hope August would be cool on the climate change that ever complicates matter around us.

2018 July

Ever wonder what it's like to travel back in time.. Reminiscing days in the summer of the 50's, 60's and the 70's. Those memorable moments that makes us feel being much alive. Aging really kicks in when people at certain age are stated and labeled as "senior citizens".

As for me, life remains as it was, but more on a slow phased motion.

 

With the innovation and breakthroughs that are recently shared through social networks, we come across thoughts of whether availing, such procedure to be in possession, of that youthful serum or whatever they label it. Well, I just hope that things will eventually pull through amidst the reality of poverty and other problems that are actually within these proclaimed last days of the prophecy of the Bible. Is it really a foreseen event that is fast approaching or just the ideology of the fact that humans are coming to terms of the ultimate intelligence and realizing that there are much more than what seems to be existent.

2018 June

This month has been notably a remarkable celebration of Father's Day, as the world watched the meeting between the leaders of The United States of America and North Korea which took place a week before Father's Day. Both men represented their nation, setting aside differences to pursue the "Gentleman Shake" and take "Baby Steps" to bridge the gap where our forefathers had left off. 

Chivalry and courage to stand up for the people are traits of a great man, and no matter what the odds are nor how uncompromising such grounds unfold, a true ruler leads with conviction to resolve matters and create camaraderie among his fellowmen.

Probably a lot of eyebrows were raised and several speculations were made due to the unconventional personalities of the two Presidents, however, both Mr. Trump and Mr. Kim took the initiative to end the customary politics and make a new chapter in history.

Anyway, on the lighter side of this month, women in the Middle East are allowed again to drive motor vehicles. The ban which was previously imposed to prevent women to drive cars had just been uplifted and now widely promoted to further boost recognition of women's rights in the region. Acknowledging that the millenial society is a milestone ahead of its' generation; a salute to humanity!

2018 May

Mother's day is fast approaching. This May 13, we recognize and give tribute to all Moms worldwide. We partake the role of a good offspring to return the love and devotion to our beloved Mama. Some are fortunate to physically celebrate that special day with their mother, while others, like yours truly commemorates and pray for the soul of a departed love one. On such occassion, everyone unites in one spirit of paying respect to motherhood.

In some countries, seniors are placed in home for the aged to be medically treated. But with God's mercy, my children values my existence and they prefer to have me with them. At times, I rotate to stay with them. They made sure that I have a room in their houses and take turns to assure that I'm provided with proper attention, specially now that i'm recuperating from surgery.

As a mother at this age, it's overwhelming to be remembered by my children. I cherish their effort and thoughtfulness. My children are my treasure. They are my purpose and legacy. And i'm very grateful for their love and care.

To God be the glory, for I am just passing by in this life's journey, and with much appreciation and deep humility, I lay my wholebeing to our Creator.

2018 April

Thankful to reach another year of my life and recuperate from a hip replacement surgery due to a bad fall. At 82, my journey is an adventure to share for lessons to learn. And to make this post possible, my granddaughter assists me to deliver the context of my thoughts. 

My only health issue common to this generation is having high cholesterol, but aside from that, i'm very healthy. However, early this year i've undergone operation caused by hip fracture. My accident occured during my stay in the US, 2 months after attending my grandson's wedding in Canada. 

I had a bad fall, it was a shock for me to realize that just landing on my behind from a slip would crack my hips. Since i had several slips and fall during my younger years, i thought that I only had a sprain after being able to stand and walk at that time. Unfortunately, the pain got worse and eventually my right leg became swollen. I was in denial that I can just massage (hilot) myself to heal, eventually I was brought for xray and finally to surgery. 

To be hospitalized is not my cup of tea and i'm not really brave with needles, much more to be in the OR. Sometimes going under the knife at my age could be fatal, but with God's grace, my hip replacement was successful. And luckily, the medical team who helped us in the US are people with golden heart. Especially to the surgeon, who extended his act of random kindness to save me and to the nurses who helped to cure me.

My recovery here in the Philippines is more imminent due to warm weather. I felt more energetic and blissful. But then, i fell again in my garden soil while I tried to fetch few leaves. Que horror! aging is really kicking in, because of complacency that I assume to bend my knees much lower than expected, which led to another fall causing me another injury. My right arm sprained while my knees bruised. I feel so fragile in such condition. Amidst it all, my granddaughter inspires me to see different perspectives and to keep my hope alive. Well I guess with all that I went through, maybe it's really time for me to take senior life cautiously and to just patiently await my full recuperation.

Hope this blog enlightens readers to take precaution in every move of their physical reflex so as to avoid incidental commotion. As the saying goes, it's better to be safe than sorry.
